At ICODE, we empower our network of NGOs through capacity-building programs that help them build a better future for local communities.
Organized in 1992, the Iloilo Caucus of Development Non-Government Organizations (ICODE) was established to respond to the passage of the Local Government Code of 1991. This ignited the collective aspiration of NGOs to build a community that can amplify the impact of development initiatives in Iloilo.
Fostering a collaborative network, ICODE unites NGOs to address regional matters and carry out nation-building efforts as a response. Through ICODE, NGOs can now actively participate in their communities’ state affairs.
Today, ICODE sparks opportunities of hope and progress for community development. By leading the synergy of NGOs and government agencies, they continue to advocate for the best interests of the local communities they serve.
A dynamic, responsive, and committed network of Iloilo NGOs enhancing people-centered, equity-led and sustainable integrated development.
To promote strong collaboration among government support structures, social development institutions, and local and global NGOs to help develop responsive and relevant capacity-building programs that empower community transformation.
Serving as a network of advocates, ICODE abides by these core values to be leaders and catalysts for community development:
We uphold the highest degree of transparency, accountability, and honesty.
We complement each other’s efforts as a unified network working towards a shared advocacy.
We share ideas, resources, and time as part of our unified commitment to the organization.
