Connecting communities through capacity-building

Serving both as a network and an NGO itself, ICODE collaborates with organizations and constituents to provide support and advocate for the development of communities with efforts that aim to reach even the far-flung regions of Iloilo.

As a network, ICODE conducts training, mentorship, and seminars for its community of NGOs to enhance their proficiency in the following aspects:

As an NGO, on the other hand, ICODE carries out development projects for the growth and rehabilitation of local communities with the support of local and international partners who share the same vision for community transformation by creating opportunities that unlock new possibilities for progress.

With over 30 years of experience, ICODE has established a capable network in capacity building to encourage and empower NGOs to directly participate in people-centered, equity-led, and sustainable integrated development.

Sharing quality resources facilitated by experts and seasoned practitioners, ICODE’s Learning Resource Hub offers courses in political, socio-cultural, economic, and environmental development to build the foundation of sustainable transformation for local Iloilo communities.

Participatory Local Governance

The Participatory Local Governance (PLG) course offers modules that develop and enhance LGU and CSO collaborations and consultations to instill transparency and accountability.

Promoting active participation of the people, this course strengthens their capacities in local development processes such as policy improvement, government engagement, and making local governance more accessible to communities.
